Hamas condemns Gaza starvation tactics as a war crime

The Islamic Resistance Movement has strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing use of starvation tactics against the people of Gaza, labeling it a war crime and a blatant affront to international judicial institutions.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Islamic Resistance Movement has strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing use of starvation tactics against the people of Gaza, labeling it a war crime and a blatant affront to international judicial institutions.

As reported by Al-Aqsa Network, Hamas issued a statement addressing the prolonged and intense blockade of the Gaza Strip by the Zionist regime. The movement stressed that the deliberate use of starvation as a weapon against civilians by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s administration constitutes a clear war crime, as well as a grave violation of international law and an insult to human rights organizations, including the International Court of Justice.

The statement highlighted that for 60 consecutive days, the “fascist occupying forces” have halted the entry of essential supplies such as food, water, medicine, and fuel into Gaza by closing all border crossings. Additionally, continued bombardments have exacerbated the famine crisis to a catastrophic level. “These measures are part of a genocidal war aimed at eradicating all aspects of life in Gaza,” the statement declared.

Hamas also pointed to recent revelations made by UNRWA Commissioner-General Philip Lazarini, who accused the occupying forces of using agency staff as human shields during their operations. According to the movement, such actions further demonstrate the cruelty of the Israeli regime, which has completely abandoned humanitarian principles and is operating with criminal intent at every level.

The movement urged global nations and United Nations bodies to uphold humanity and justice. Additionally, Hamas called upon Arab and Islamic nations, along with freedom-loving people worldwide, to take urgent and decisive action in solidarity with Gaza.
